Buckingham Palace

Located in the very heart of London is the majestic Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the Queen and the Royal Family since 1837. But aside from being a residence of the monarch, it is the place where Royal ceremonies and banquets are held. The Palace is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the City, where one can see the changing of ceremony of the guards daily. With its extravagant silk and gold walls, cut white chandeliers, and rich carpet, the whole Palace is in itself an attraction. It is open for free to the public during August and September, when the Queen is away on holiday.
